sculpture installation Bricks and Burls at
the School of Architecture,
Florida A & M University
Tallahassee,FL.The sculpture was installed on two levels of
courtyards
and walkways that link the areas of the school together.
Lindquist was at the
School of Architecture in 1987 as visiting artist.
Bricks and Burls was constructed with
the participation of SOA students (and some faculty)
using approximately 10,000 used bricks and 75 burls from Lindquist
Studios inventory.
The installation was up about a month, documented, then
dismantled.
Art Today magazine featured the
installation on the cover with a feature article on Lindquist in
1989.
